Having this girl have to figure out the strange new body (every part of it!) and how to maneuver is very funny. Then, when it's Freaky Friday, it's also great. In some moments, these scenes are even better than the old school slashers they're clearly paying homage to. The sequences are great, the kills are creative and bloody as hell, and as a general stance it's just nice seeing a good R-rated horror film. When it's Friday the 13th, it's great! I love seeing Vince Vaughn as this Jason Voorhes type killer of legend. The film has to juggle two distinct identities here. It's a gloriously deranged concept that is almost perfect. From the people who brought you 'Groundhog Day, but it's a slasher movie' comes 'Freaky Friday meets Friday the 13th'. I have to say, I am loving this trend of high concept horror.
