Update 3: I decided to convert the mobile account into local account by following these simple steps: Strangely it seems the login to mobile account works after a specified period of time when the mac is rebooted. Was logged in as admin for atleast 30 minutes and then tried logging into the mobile account and the login worked again. After the restart I couldn't log into mobile account but then logged in as admin to sort some work out. Update 2: For the fun of it, I decided to restart my Mac again.

I will try binding the Mac again to see if it fetches the new password from AD. Update 1: I was able to login again for some strange reason. So basically, its me a software engineer trying to figure my way out.Р”Р„lso when I open a terminal window I get the following message:Р”Р„nd no matter what details I enter, it doesn't let me login. By no means I am Sysadmin, and the company I work they barely have any Sysadmin who knows Mac in and out. I thought it could be the same problem as yesterday, so I decided to login as Admin and unbind the AD.Р”В®ven after the unbind, my login is unsuccessful. I cannot login anymore on my local mobile account. I tried the new password, I tried the old one, I even tried ones older than my previous password, nothing works. But then, after few hours (also after a system restart) when I try logging in, its just not letting me login anymore. Worked fine, password got changed of my AD account and it propagated to Office 365 without an issue. Today was the last day to change my AD password, which I did via the preference -> users -> my user -> change password. Binded the Mac back to AD, that was end of my day yesterday.

Tired logging in again and it voila it worked. Luckily I have a local admin account on my Mac, using which I un-binded AD from the user preference. I upgraded to the latest Big slu last weekend and the update went fine and I had no issues whatsoever until yesterday when I had to restart my Mac.Р”Р„fter the restart, it just didn't allow me to login into the local mobile account.
